I spent most of the morning gardening. I trimmed the hedges, raked the leaves, pulled weeds and so on. I was in a bad mood because the gardeners had not come for 2 weeks, and I had to get myself out there to do the much needed work. Well, swallows are nesting on my house, like they have for 13 years now. Even the dogs don't give them a 2nd look. Towards the end of my 2 hours of hard work, I decided to clean out and fill the bird bath with water. To my surprise, the gardeners pull up to my driveway and explain that the son had a bad accident and nearly lost his fingers! I felt so bad for him, and proud of the job that I had done. I felt bad for being angry that they had not come the week before! As I went inside, I noticed one of the little baby birds enjoying the water in the bird bath. I ran inside and got my camera...he seemed to pose for the photo!

What a gorgeous photo! Kudos to you for getting the yard work done (wanna come over? LOL) and don't feel too bad about getting mad. You're only human!
